PASTORAL
ACTIVITIES
It is with great joy that I greet you all in the name
of our Lord & Saviour.
As our motto states “Care Brings Hope”, brings in a
new meaning to all who work here at Robin Trust, that our dedication
to serving others is matchless.
We have a dedicated and committed permanent staff who run the Nest
– the home based carers do their practical training under
the watchful eyes of the Sister-in-Charge and her senior staff.
To have happy patients is to care for them and besides the nursing
care, we feed them spiritually once a week by having a chapel service
in the Nest. The patients also get regular visits from their own
ministers and laypersons .
We have chapel services once a week on Wednesdays at 11h00 for the
patients and duty staff and on Thursdays at 13h30 for the learners,
students and permanent staff. We are blessed each week by our home
based carers who sing for us under the leadership of their trainer.
They really inspire us with their singing.
We had monthly visits from Christ Embassy Church last year and hope
to include them again this year. We are also hoping to include the
local Pastors to being the word to us on a Wednesday.
The Vineyard Church under Pastor John Fisher, conducts fortnightly
church services for our patients, staff and carers in the Nest.
We had a very successful Thanksgiving & Dedication service at
St Stephens Anglican Church last year April, where we rededicated
our staff & carers at Robin Trust to the Lord. Before we look
again it will be upon us. Pastor Fisher brought the word and all
were really blessed. We are really grateful to St Stephens for the
use of their facilities.
Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon
us and establish the work of our hands – Psalm 90 v 17
This year we intend getting more involved
in our community. We are currently looking at various options and
hope to give feedback soon.
God bless
