CHURCH-BASED
NURSING
Supporting and equipping Christian nurses to be involved in health ministry
within their Church and community
WHAT IS CHURCH-BASED NURSING?
Church-based Nursing is nurse-led, holistic healthcare that is part
of the Church’s ministry in caring, the way Jesus would, for the
sick and dying. It promotes health within the local church community
as well as in outreach to the unchurched.
It is part of a worldwide non-denominational movement called Parish
Nursing in the UK and USA and Faith-based Nursing in Australia. Nurses
are being called by God to reintegrate health and spiritual care as
part of their Church’s ministry. Has God been speaking to you?
Is He calling you to use your nursing skills in your Church by providing
care that includes meeting spiritual needs?
We aim to equip nurses to explore combining their nursing skills and
scriptural foundation to form a nursing ministry within the body of
their Church.
CHURCH BASED NURSING SEMINAR:
Tuesday 27 September: 10.30 (for tea) – 2.30 pm.
Includes
lunch. No cost but donations are welcome.
At Robin Trust, Oude Molen village, Pinelands.
This is an information seminar. We realise for many this is a new concept
but believe that God has been speaking to many nurses. We plan to run
a formal training course next year.
Contact Mrs Newman at 021 4471565 email: robintrust@icon.co.za

and lay people involved in ministry to the sick. If God is leading you
in health ministry, this is for you.
Directions:

Robin Trust
is a non-denominational Christian Non Profit Organisation that was established
in 1993, under the Ministers’ Fraternal of the Pinelands churches.
It seeks to provide community-based care and uplift people through training
in healthcare and nursing and job creation.
We offer Training:
1. A three month comprehensive home based care course.
2. A one year Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary programme (SANC registered)
3. A one year Enrolled Nurse programme (SANC registered)
4. Church based nursing course in 2012
We create jobs through our Nursing Agency where our graduates are employed
in patients’ homes, old age homes and hospitals. Our home based
care service provides care for the elderly and the sick.
We have a 23 bed Frail care and community mental health facility called
The Nest.
We have permission to open a Step down Care facility and are fundraising
for this.
